Khanna Inaugurates HDFC Bank Gold Lending Offices

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, HDFC Bank announced that it has added 75 gold lending offices to its branch network in Uttar Pradesh, bringing the total number of branches to 253.

At a reception held here on Wednesday, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna inaugurated the gold lending offices in the presence of HDFC Bank officials including Akhilesh Kumar Roy, Bank Branch Manager, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

“The bank is working to make all of its branches in the state capable of processing gold loans in the current fiscal year. This facility will allow people to get the most out of their idle gold with minimal documentation. and fee transparency Gold loans are available with flexible term and repayment options – terms ranging from three months to 36 months,” the minister said.

Gold loan seekers include a diverse segment ranging from salaried and self-employed categories. People exploring quick loans for a short duration with minimal documentation will benefit from this facility.

Roy said, “We are expanding our network of gold lending offices in the state to meet the growing demand for gold lending in the state. We are seeing customers turning away from pawnshops and unorganized pawnshops. Pawnshops and moneylenders are not only unregulated but also charge higher interest rates. Our network of gold lending offices will assist the general public in obtaining loans against idle gold to meet their financial needs. »
